Introduction

The SENSIT® P-ROM (Portable Odorant Monitor) is a field-ready odorant monitoring system designed to provide accurate, on-site measurement of odorizing compounds in natural gas distribution systems. Utilizing chromatographic analysis technology without the need for a gas carrier, the P-ROM delivers reliable odorant measurements while reducing operating costs and simplifying field testing procedures.

Built for utility professionals and gas distribution operators, the P-ROM measures odorants such as THT and TBM using chromatographic columns and an H₂S electrochemical sensor for fast and stable analysis. The portable design allows technicians to perform spot checks, investigations, and programmable monitoring directly in the field, helping verify odorization levels throughout the gas network.

The P-ROM can be configured through its intuitive 3-button LCD interface or through the SENSIT software application. With storage for up to 26,000 records, built-in data logging, and ModBus RTU communications, the system provides a convenient solution for collecting, reviewing, and documenting odorant measurements.
