Introduction

The T4x is a portable 4-gas monitor designed to detect and warn users of hazardous gas conditions in their working environment. Sized to be worn and simple to use, T4x is focused on both individual users and fleet managers, offering application-focused solutions with greater operating time and reduced set-up time.

It comes in a variety of sensor configurations, detecting:

  • Flammable gases (MPS™)
  • Long-Life Oxygen (LLO2)
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO) – H2 Immune
  • Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S)

Standard Features

T4x is classified for use in hazardous areas and provides loud and bright audible and visual alarm indications along with a vibrate alert. The front-mounted display is backlit for ease of use, and a simple single-button solution makes operation and training quick and easy.

T4x's +ve Safety™ indicator gives supervisors and workers an at-a-glance, front-mounted LED status of the unit — green for all-clear, red when the battery is critically low, a bump test or calibration is due, the unit is in gas alarm, or a fault has been detected.

Key features include:

  • Rechargeable lithium-ion battery up to 35 hours with MPS™ Flam, Long-Life O2, CO & H2S sensors fitted
  • Data logging (up to 45,000 logs at 10-second intervals) and event logging (approximately 3,500 events)
  • Peak Mode for pre-entry confined space checks
  • Bump testing and calibration via the T4x calibration menu, Portables Pro 2.0 software, or the automated I-Test station
  • Optional accessories including a calibration/bump test plate, external sensor filter plate, and aspirator plate for remote sampling

The MPS™ flammable sensor enables accurate detection of more than 15 flammable gases, including hydrogen, without cross-calibration or setting changes, and without the poisoning risk associated with traditional pellistor sensors.

Certifications

T4x is a hazardous area certified gas detector, approved for Zone 0, 1, and 2 use.

It comes with a 2-year limited warranty (includes battery and common sensors), with select sensors such as MPS™ Flammable and Long-Life Oxygen covered for 5 years.
