Introduction

The SENSIT LZ30 is a handheld remote methane laser detector. It uses TDLAS to measure methane from 1.5 to 100 feet / 30m without entering the gas plume, responds to methane only, weighs 0.7 lb, and runs 6.5 hours on a charge.

The SENSIT® LZ30‘s compact size is one of its key benefits, enabling usage in hard-to-reach areas where traditional leak detectors are inapplicable. This device eliminates the need to climb to elevated areas, access fenced-in properties or directly access the gas plume providing a safe and cost-effective remedy for remote methane leak detection.

The SENSIT® LZ30 is a versatile device that suits various natural gas industry applications - upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. Additionally, it is useful in emergency response situations like fire, hazmat, and rescue operations. The device is also ideal for deployment in industrial settings such as steel, petrochemical, and paper and pulp facilities. The ergonomic design makes it easy to use and maintain, and it comes with a rechargeable battery, ensuring a low cost of ownership.

Overall, the SENSIT® LZ30 is a reliable and cost-effective solution for methane detection. With its advanced technology, intrinsically safe design, intuitive features, and simple operation, the LZ30 is an excellent choice for fast and accurate methane detection.

Standard Features

  • Methane selectivity: The device is designed to detect methane gas specifically, filtering out other gases and eliminating false positive readings.
  • Adjustable alarm points: The adjustable visual and audible alarm points alert the user when methane levels exceed a certain threshold.
  • Intrinsically safe: The SENSIT® LZ30 is engineered to prevent the ignition of hazardous environments. It is ideal for use in potentially explosive areas such as those in the natural gas industry.

In addition, the SENSIT®LZ30 uses Bluetooth connectivity to help users track and trace leak investigation in real-time. Users can also associate readings with photographs from the phone or tablet or use the interface to report corrosion or other site issues. Data from the LZ30 includes date, time, GPS coordinates, and gas measurements. Multiple formats are available for exporting sessions to the phone or tablet.

Certifications

The SENSIT® LZ30 has been certified by UL and CSA for Intrinsic Safety (Class 1 Division 2).
